MAAUN president, Prof. Gwarzo commiserates with President Bazoum of Niger over mother in-law’s death, Hadjiya Bintou

The President of Maryam Abacha American University of Niger (MAAUN), Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, has condole with the President of Niger Republic, Mohamed Bazoum over the demise of his mother in-law, Hadjiya Bintou.

Hadjiya Bintou died on 29th October 2022 in Paris, France after a brief illness.

Prof. Gwarzo who is also the Founder and Chairman Governing Council of Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria, personally delivered his condolence message to President Mohamed Bazoum when he visited the Presidential Palace in Niamey on Wednesday, 16th November 2022.

Prof. Gwarzo, who expressed his deepest condolence to the President, Government and people of Niger Republic, described the death of Hadjiya Bintou as a great loss not only to her immediate family, but to the entire people of Niger Republic.

“I wish on behalf of my family and Maryam Abacha American University (MAAUN) conglomerate, to extend our deepest and heartfelt condolences to the President Mohamed Bazoum on the demise of our mother, Hadjiya Bintou,” Prof. Gwarzo said.

He noted that the deceased had lived a fulfilled and useful life worthy of emulation by all those who came close to her during her lifetime.

Prof. Gwarzo, who is also the President of Association of African Private Universities (AAPU) prayed to Almighty Allah to give President Mohamed Bazoum and his wife the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

He also prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive all her shortcomings and grant the deceased the highest level of Jannah (Jannatul Firdaus).

Responding, President Mohamed Bazoum thanked Prof. Gwarzo for the condolence visit and prayed to Almighty Allah to reward him abundantly.

Late Hadjiya Bintou was the mother of the wife of President Mohamed Bazoum and had since been buried in accordance with Islamic rites in Niamey, Niger Republic.

May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace, ameen.
