The National Chairman of the National Hajj Commission has said that it is his wish that intending pilgrims pay less hajj fares than the previous year.
Prof. Usman in an interview with a Hausa Online TV channel, DCL, said despite the high and fluctuating cost of foreign exchange, he will wish intending pilgrims pay less than what they paid in the previous year.
Pilgrims paid over N8 million in the last hajj exercise.
“Considering the exchange rate is crucial. Since all expenses, including transportation and food, are incurred in foreign currency, we must factor this into our planning. However, our top priority remains ensuring every pilgrim has a fulfilling and satisfying experience during the holy ritual.”
Prof. Usman’s commitment to collaboration is inspiring. He pledged to work harmoniously with commission staff and stakeholders to ensure a successful Hajj operation next year.
He also said he will pay utmost attention in improving the living condition of pilgrims in the Musha’ir, Muna and Arafat.
Professor Usman pledged to foster a spirit of cooperation with commission personnel and stakeholders, ensuring a hitch-free and successful Hajj operation for the forthcoming year.
