MAAUN to Khairun VC, Garba at 67: ‘A Life Well Lived, A Future of Excellence’

The Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN) has extended warm felicitations to the pioneer Vice Chancellor of Khalifa Isyaka Rabiu University (KHAIRUN), Abdulrashid Garba, as he marks his 67th birthday, describing the occasion as a defining milestone that reflects decades of scholarly excellence and institutional leadership.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the President of the MAAUN Group of Universities, Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, described the milestone as worthy of celebration, noting that it reflects a life of impact and accomplishment.

“Clocking 67 is a milestone, a significant age that marks a life well lived. On behalf of the Management of MAAUN Group, I wish to felicitate with you on this auspicious occasion,” Mr Gwarzo said.

He commended Prof. Garba’s wealth of experience in academia, expressing confidence in his capacity to steer KHAIRUN towards sustained growth and excellence.

Mr Gwarzo, who also serves as President of the Association of African Private Universities (AAPU), offered prayers for continued good health, strength, and wisdom for the celebrant as he leads the relatively new institution.

“We pray that Almighty Allah grants you long life in good health, as well as the strength and wisdom to take the university to greater heights,” he added.

Prof. Garba is the founding Vice Chancellor of KHAIRUN, Kano, where he is expected to play a central role in shaping the university’s academic direction and institutional development.
